Year 10 taster days 

 

These taster opportunities are a great way to experience the various areas within Barnfield College through hands on activities. Students have the chance to meet and work with specialist staff in their professional environments.

There are great opportunities with our after school clubs. 

 

Work alongside our professional chefs, learn how to give a professional manicure, gain an insight into the world of engineering or learn how to be a top notch babysitter.There is something for everyone.

Key stage 4 vocational offer

 

You may want to consider an alternative option route for key stage 4. Some students benefit from coming to college one day a week over their years 10 and 11. To study a more hands on practical subject.

V-Talent programme

 

This volunteer programme is a two year funded project working with young people aged 16 – 25. These young people are placed within Barnfield’s College and Academies working alongside departments to support learners and staff in a variety of areas.

One to one mentoring for students from 14 years+

 

Our learning mentors can work with students to help them stay on track.

 

To have support with portfolio building, assignment planning and someone to talk to about their work can make a difference to how students perform on programme.
